Mine Planning Engineer - Relocate to Hunter Valley?

This role will allow you to enjoy the freedom of autonomy generally reserved for smaller organisations.

Reporting directly to the Technical Service Manager, you will have ownership of the short to medium-term p lanning. Focusing primarily around developing, optimising and communicating mine plans, preparing monthly physical forecasts for the 2-3 year budget period and cost control measures.

More interestingly, is the Business Improvement component, that needs someone dedicated to creating and running the projects. Currently, the mine equipment isn’t functioning at peak efficiency, by applying your “take charge nature” and ability to think laterally, you will turnaround optimisation levels and improve productivity.

Don’t limit yourself, if you have Open Pit or Bulk Commodity experience but come from a metals background, let me help take the pressure off. I can organize a simple over the phone chat with the TSM who has made the transition to coal himself.

Ideally, you will have a strong background in open-cut mining with considerable exposure to XPAC and a minimum of 3 years experience in this field.
