Blue Tongue have an established track record in transitioning mechanics into the mining industry. 
  
We are currently partnering with a leading organisation in the mining services sector to source, recruit, h ire, train and transition 12 LV Mechanics into Heavy Diesel (Earthmoving).
  
We are offering successful candidates a full time position to be employed whilst being trained in our Sydney work-shop on Heavy Equipment, before being relocated to Perth. You will gain recognition of prior learning as part of your fast tracked Heavy Diesel Mechanic trade qualification (certificate 3). Once your 6 weeks training is completed in Sydney you will start work full time in Perth on a 2/1 roster (14 days on/1 week off). You starting salary will be no less than AU$100,000.00 + Super per annum. 
  
This is a unique program and a golden pathway for motivated and experienced car mechanics to break into the top tiers of the mining industry working on big equipment.

You must have a solid background working in a Dealership environment as a car mechanic.

To be successful in this position you will need to be able to start training full time on the 12th of March 2012, as well as passing a police check, medical and a drug and alcohol test. These positions also require you to relocate to Perth and we will not accept applications for people who want to fly in fly out.
